The third in a series of seasonal "views,' this etching includes a family enjoying a picnic under an apple tree, as well as the usual tiny wildlife, including a fox, rabbits and chipmunks hidden among the grass and milkweed. Staghorn sumac grows at the bottom border, along with wild lilies. Sheep graze in a field near the farmstead, cows in a distant pasture and deer in a clearing. Tiny names and scriptures are scribed into the copper plate. |
